Title says it all really. Buffing the assault frigates as planned will create a domino effect of imbalances and game impacts that I don't personally think have been thought through properly.
Here is the link to give your feedback for the planned changes.
I strongly advise anybody who flies assault frigates, other tech 2 frigates, t1 frigates and faction frigates to go make their views known.
In particular go to page 2, scroll down and read the posts from Ava Starfire, Ilik Tanikalot and Kaeda Maxwell.
Thanks.

Glad I'm not the only one who opposes these changes.
ReplyDeleteI think what I said has upset some really bad at eve players. Oh well. A Wensley endorsement is good enough for me.
ReplyDelete:)
The argument on the forums shows how many horrible players there really are in eve. I dont know whats better... the moron who really thinks a 5 midslot Jag with a falloff bonus is a good idea, or the muppet who complained that 27.8 CPU isnt enough to get a scram on his Enyo... CCP better not listen to the obvious retards.
ReplyDeleteThe problem comes with seperating the obvious retards from the good pilots...
ReplyDeletePersonally I largely support these changes, other than some numbers tweaking (lol enyo tank/gank and sadface making jag).
I fully intend to expand further on the official thread, but not at silly o'clock in the morning. Just seen your massively downvoted post on reddit and followed the link. Ejeets >_<
It's just to much a role bonus I can live with, if they must, but why all the other extra stuff? Really do a Jag/Wolf need another low?
ReplyDeleteIt really feels like they're just massively overcompensating.
P.S. On the bright-side if they do this, I'm going to kill so many shiny expensive ships. Ninja looting in one of those new vengeances would be fun, with even just a small neut in the extra high you could prolly kill missioning battleships in it :P
I was getting told off in chat channels last night for saying these changes are too much, glad to see I'm not the only one.
ReplyDeleteIf the current proposed changes go through there will be little point in flying anything that isn't an AF for frig pilots...maybe a slicer and the odd interceptor. It will essentially relegate the navy frigs back to pre-dominion days. I mean why fly a 5 mid Hookbill when you can fly a 5 mid Hawk and have more damage/tank as well.
There we go, massive wall of text posted;

That's why the changes are good, what needs tweaking and why I should actually get a blog ;)
personally im torn on the one hand everything you say is correct, on the other i really want to solo in a retribution.(its just such a good looking ship)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see the EVE-O forums never disappoint, as it's just turned into personal attacks and ad hominem arguments. What I mostly see is people that fly AFs now (myself included) are really concerned about them being buffed to the point that no one wants to engage them. Meanwhile, people who don't fly AFs, but would like to, are really excited now that the AF is overpowered so that they can get easy kills. Something tells me that the "democratic approach" is going to win in the end, with the players who already enjoy flying AFs being in the minority. Why do I feel like this buff just nerfed my favorite ships?
ReplyDelete@Korg Tronix - even the slicer will be rendered obsolete if the Retribution gets a second mid.
ReplyDelete@Anxiir The Slicer will at least be able to defeat the other AFs, the Hookbill is a scram range frigate that will be rendered obsolete by all the AFs now. Actually all the other Navy frigs will be obsoleted by the AFs thinking of it, why fly any of the navy frigs in scram range when all the AFs out dps tank and range them.
ReplyDeleteOh Eve ... good to see it never stops!
ReplyDeleteThe AF buff is a travesty.....unless the Jag gets another mid slot and a nos bonus. In fact, only the Jaguar should get buffed. So I fully support stopping government attempts to censor the internet....and also buffing other AFs.
